Pregnant? Please help

The Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust (GSTT) is opening the first UK-wide survey of pregnancy in myeloproliferative disorders in 2010.

Many women with a myeloproliferative disorder are young adults in their child bearing years. These women face unique challenges as they start families – risks to their own health and their unborn child. The Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust (GSTT) is opening the first UK-wide survey of pregnancy in myeloproliferative disorders in 2010.

Aim of the survey

The survey aims to determine how best to care for young women with MPDs in pregnancy, and to ensure the most successful outcomes for both mother and baby.

Who is running the survey

The Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in London (UK) is running the survey in conjunction with UK-wide Obstetric Surveillance Survey, or UKOSS. MPD Voice is lending a hand by helping GSTT to publicise this survey.
